APD Trove Journal is a new open-access online journal which publishes quality student research. The founding of the journal has the following objectives
APD Trove Journal is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under APD SKEG Pte Ltd that publishes high quality student research in all areas of disciplines ranging from science to humanities. This journal provides a training ground for academic publishing, and also makes quality work performed by students available to both students, professionals and general public.
The student journal accepts full research articles, application notes, reviews, opinions, and correspondences that range from the research projects (that can include final year research projects, other research projects, industrial year (placement) projects, summer vacation projects and internship) of secondary/high school, tertiary, undergraduate, postgraduate PhD projects in all disciplines.
APD Trove Journal’s open access allows access by a wide global audience. After peer-review by other students, and occasionally professionals in the fields, all accepted articles are distributed in PDF form and published rapidly. In the area of publication, we allow publication of large datasets, large numbers of color illustrations and moving pictures, in an easily accessible and read form. For software packages, we allow the authors to display the data for themselves, and to create all relevant links.
Authors of articles published in APD Trove Journal retain the copyright of their articles and are free to reproduce and disseminate their work.
All articles are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication, without subscription charges or registration barriers.
Running a journal is not without costs but given our interest in the field, we charge a nominal sum. Therefore, this journal levies an article-processing charge of SGD$100 for each article accepted for publication.
We can waive charges for students of specific backgrounds, and these charge waivers or discounts are granted on a case-by-case basis.
We utilize peer-review to assess the quality of a manuscript before it is published. Criteria includes the presentation, originality, validity and significance of the work for original research articles. Work with conclusions relevant to the field are viewed favorably.
